The Fens Dog Training Club
Christine is the main instructor, offering an aray of training to suit all breeds and levels required. She has over 30 years experience with training dogs and competing at the highest level in obedience classes. She is happy to offer help and 1:1 sessions where needed with dogs with extra needs.

At present we have the following courses:
​
10 week basic puppy training class
-
This is a basic clicker reward based training course, working on focus, basic commands, lead walking and recall.
Kennel Club Good Citizen Award Bronze - Gold
-
The bronze award aims to produce a dog that will walk and behave in a controlled manner.

The silver award aims to build on the skills learned in the bronze award while increasing the level of difficulty. It is a natural progression of practical dog training skills and introduces new concepts such as greeting a friend, vehicle control and a road walking exercise which are vital in everyday life situations.

The gold award is the highest level of achievement within the scheme awards. It builds upon the skills learnt in the silver award and develops more advanced training skills of the dog and handler. The gold award introduces new concepts such as sending a dog to bed, relaxed isolation, an emergency stop and heelwork off the lead, all of which provide greater understanding and control.
Obedience Class
-
This group works on the parts involed in obedience work, ie heal work, send away, recalls, retrieve and scent work at the various levels needed to compete.
Fun Agility Sessions
-
You will learn to use all the various equipment in agility from jumps, A-frame, board walk, see-saw, tunnel, weaves, longjump and how to put these together in varrious and graduating more complex courses. It is a fun relaxed enviroment for those wanting to have fun with there dog while learning how to interact and work with there dogs natural ability.
Hoopers Sessions
-
This is great for young dogs to start before agility to gain the skills needed for agility with out impact on any joints and for older dogs to keep fit and active without hurting there joints. The courses are made up of a serries of hoops to go through, a short straight tunnel, barrels to go round and a mat to cross over. this is all flat work with no tight turns but allows your dog to learn many skills, especiall directional comands workin away from you. Great fun too!
